Okay, so, truth be known, this is not my first foray into the gay leather community. In 2003 (or was it '02?) I had the pleasure of meeting a leather boi named boi Shannon. The two of us traveled extensively around the northeast (from VT to South Jersey though only as far west as Mid-New York). We went to many different events including demonstrations, benefits, contests and parties. I had a really good time, but once I realized that I needed to transition, both the money and the time were not really abundant enough to do both. So, now that my transition is over, once I no longer work two jobs (or the timing works correctly), I'll be attending leather events again.
My goal, though, is not just to go the events. When I left the leather community, there was still alot of dis-enfranchisement with the leather girl community. What I mean by that, is that a lot of the people who had been around a LONG time didn't really understand that girls were as capable of handling things as the boys, women, and men were. So, I am hoping to help the general Leather Girl Movement as well. Granted, I'm only one person, BUT, I feel like taking on the world, so we'll see how it goes (and those of you who follow, will get to hear of all the crazy, wacky, outrageous, off the wall stunts, episodes, adventures, and incidents that occur)
